Hello Panda,
The Swiss lugers are the most beautiful pistols. I believe I was in love with everyone I ever owned. I could not pick one to be my special love!

Hello Panda,

If you go the the Luger Forum section titled "Site Help & Feedback", there is a topic called "How To Upload & Post Pictures" that explains how to post on the Forum.

The process is a bit different than on other gun discussion boards...

Another way to do it is to just list the "http://www..." address and let folks go to your website...as I have done for you below. I am a co-moderator on this Swiss section, so was able to "look" at the details of you first posting...

http://le_panda.tripod.com//sitebuil...res/dwm06s.jpg

http://www.le_panda.tripod.com//site...res/dwm06s.jpg

But you photos do not show up here either...

Can you check to see if your photos are viewable ?

Regards,

Pete...

Hello Murray,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Thanks Pete,
Second attempt: see above.
But for some reason the direct link to the picture won't work.
Is it possible that tripod doesn't allow this?

Probably because the home page is really an alias and so the direct link doesn't exist?

OK... (I'm not sure I understand what you mean.)
This being my very first web page, is there an easy way to fix this?
The link to the page seems to work though.

Hi Panda!!

I just tried to "snip" your picture - and upload it for you - but no luck?? I can get to your URL, OK - but the link to the picture won't work..?

Anyway - here's what you can do... Send your pic to me (johnd@rennlist.com) and I'll upload it - and edit your posts above... Or - if you'd like, you can try from the "Upload" link from the main menu...

Also - I think Ed is right. That way, folks don't use Tripod servers for eBay auctions, etc. - it sort of makes folks actually go to their website...

Best to you!

In this case, if you think it looks great, I guess that the 00/06 should feel flattered.

But I'm sure you've got nice ones too and I'd love to admire them.

In any case, thanks John D.

Hey Pisto, Nice Luger!
The magazine looks fine to me, if original.
I've never heard that they numbered the magazines of the CH-army Lugers.
Does anyone know more about this?

Panda,
thanks for the flowers! here are a pic of magazines . I did see some Swiss mags with the last 2 digits numbered. These are mine, the left two mags are numbered, not the other two mags.
The Swiss wood bottoms are a little different style than German bottoms as well.

Indeed, I can see the numbers. Most interesting.
Are you sure these belong to Swiss army Lugers? I've seen a number of magazines of 00/06 W+F but those were never numbered.

The only thing I can tell, is that the source I bought the mags is reliable and honest. Swiss army mags is probably the only possibility remaining because: there have been only very few comercial Lugers produced. The other case could be that someone did stamp it (armorer)
The style of the mag bottoms I told You already is different than the German style nnd for repro bottoms there is no reason, the mags are in excellent shape and so I expect the bottoms are original Swiss army.
At taht point I have no other explanation?

Regards
