Default Bad news also

I saw Eric's thread and it moved me to post also.

I am going through something similar with my wife of 55 years. Stage 4 metastatic brain cancer. Radiation treatment has worked wonders for her but they project less than a year. Enjoying what we have while we can.

I'm so sorry for your troubles. I know where you are at. My wife passed this last February from pancreatic cancer. Not quite a year from diagnosis to the end. My prayers are for your strength in these trying times.

Heinz, so sorry to hear about your wife's medical condition. Many of us have experienced that journey. Rely on your faith for strength.

Default sad news indeed.

Hello Heinz, that is the kind of news that one dreads hearing. We will keep your wife and you in out thoughts and prayers. My wife was an oncology nurse for 30+ years and she knows the road ahead will be hard. She says that often the spouse with the illness will reach a higher level and are stronger persons than all that surround them, they care about others more than they care about themselves..
I hope you can get through this with the best possible outcome, best to you and yours Heinz, til.....lat'r.....GT

I am so sorry to hear this sad news Heinz ... My Halina passed from Cancer Jan. 5th 2017.
She was my true soulmate and her passing devastated me even though we knew it was coming.
I was and still am a spiritual man but her passing nearly destroyed my faith. I was so angry that I cursed at our creator and questioned ever thing I believed in ... my friends stood by me on 'suicide watch' fearing that I wasn't going to survive it. The only reason I did not carry out that which would have ended my pain was knowing that that is NOT what Halina would have wanted ... you must do the same.

Cancer is a despicable horrific disease ... my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours Heinz.
This will change you Heinz but remember this too shall pass.
You will never forget this time, it is the hardest lesson we must learn as humans.
If you need an ear I am here to help if I can.

I agree with Greg above. Been there and still am there. I wish there were words which could help. From experience I realize that is impossible. But both of you remember there are people on here who truly care. And that I have found is comforting. Bless you both. Bill

My thoughts are with you.

My wife passed almost 4 months ago from Alzheimers. While she didn't suffer, her mind was gone and that meant that I could not say goodbye.
