Talking Bevel base cast bullets???

I have been buying a few bullet molds on ebay recently, and I just purchased a 9mm 8 cavity mold that boasted of bevel based round nose bullets.... has any forum members ever used such a bullet? Does the beveled base affect acuracy? I can see that it may help when reloading... but what are the down sides!? Thanks, til..later....GT

I have used .44 bevel based lead bullets in the past (probably 20+ years). As I remember, they worked fine and it wasn't necessary to flare the case very much before bullet loading. I don't remember any downside.

Thumbs up

No downside, just a lot easier to load without shaving lead if you didn't bell your case mouth enough!
