Mornin' - New to the forum and I have a contribution to the list (even though I suspect it's originality).
Ok - this is what I get for assuming. After a couple hours of trying to figure out why some of the markings were in strange places, I now realize it's a Mauser Luger with a Krieghoff rear toggle. The number on the toggle matches, but isn't supposed to be there. My suspicion is it's an S/42. Love to trade my Krieghoff link for an S/42 link...... Dang it. Does the link have " KRIEGHOFF SUHL " or just " SUHL " below the H anchor K " ? Pics would help and what you seek is pretty common . If your link just has " SUHL " I could use one for my " S " code shooter as mine has had the logo mostly ground off . Thanks and good luck . Dave

Over the years, I have seen probably 3 or 4 Krieghoff toggles - and thats just coming across them. Save a 'search' on ebay for Krieghoff Toggle and perhaps something else and you'll come across one.

Hi Vidar, Welcome to the forum! Your gun and magazine sound interesting, may we see photos?

7221 on Simpson site. look at "7" number stampings on frame front and left side. maybe it was 4221 in past. big price. https://simpsonltd.com/krieghoff-p-08-36-c65240/

what is odd about this offered gun. with sn-4221 can comfortably be a "36" date gun.
but why would someone want "7221" in serial number range where you only see 1936 and 1937 chamber dated guns. why change the leading 4 to a 7 on this gun and still leave 4221 on the underside of barrel??? |
