Default Breech Block from Sarco

This showed up in my mailbox today...It was part of an order thatI sent in back in March...I forgot that Sarco had put it on back order...

I tried looking at their web site today...But they seem to have pulled the "Luger Parts" page down...IIRC, this was advertised as a "Breech Block, used, stripped"...but it came with extractor + spring & pin; firing pin + spring & plunger...and it looks used, but the outer surface looks a lot like the re-finish on my Russian capture P38...

I'll be passing this on to a fellow who wants a complete LP-08 upper assembly...

I've been stung by "parts kits" from Sarco in the past [2004; 1911A1 parts kit], but this didn't turn out to be as bad as I expected...

Sometimes Sarco can come through with good stuff, in spite of themselves.

Thanks to Sarco's screw-up, you ended up with at least $100 worth of extra parts. It could have gone the other way, as at one time they were selling new surplus DDR breech blocks that were unfinished inside and would not accept a FP without some work. TH

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while...

They did have "New, Repro" breech blocks listed as well, IIRC...but I can't find their Luger page...Maybe in the Shotgun News ads???

Having sent Sarco some PO8 parts recently to fill their back orders, I understand that they won't be accepting anymore orders for original parts until they can find some more. They are planning soon to offer complete new repro spring kits for the PO8. TH

You could do the right thing and return the parts you did not pay for

Not a bad idea...Let's see what Sarco says if I send an email and ask if it was considered "stripped" or "used, as is"...

Hello!

Back in 03/03/2009, I put in an order for some Luger parts, from your web site. Some were shipped; some were back ordered.

I received a back ordered part on 11/12/2009, -

Item No. LGR011 LUGER Breech Block

This is an excellent looking part, and exactly what I wanted...but I think I may have gotten more than I was expecting...It came "complete"...

I tried to find the Luger page on your site, but it appears to have been taken down...and I don't recall if the page I ordered from said "complete" or "stripped"...

Did I receive more than I was charged for???

Thank you for your time!!!

I'll post their response ASAP...

Woo...

Tell him the guy emailed Sarco and asked about it...the email should be in the info@sarcoinc.com mailbox (only one I could find)...

We'll make it right...

Liz just got back to me...I asked her to work up an estimate for the parts...

Tell your boss that you know the guy and that he's a straight dude...

(And don't listen to Tom...he's old and senile)...

Edit: Got the estimate from Liz...CC info emailed to her...Extra parts are all paid for now.

Don't go away!!! Now that Tom's dragged you over here, stick around and tell us a bit about Sarco's Luger parts vault...

We know you have repro Artillery barrels and sights, and that you used to list pretty much everything else...

What's Sarco have in mind for us Luger/Broomhandle Mauser/Walther P38 aficionados???

Well as you can probally guess all the good parts are gone. We are currently making all the coil springs still waiting on the extractor springs to be done. We are in prosses to make the flat springs as well. I will check into updating the luger list to what we currently have. Very little left for Broomhandle. We have a pretty good stock of P38 and P1 parts. If we get in any more parts or parts guns I will let you know there are a few deals brewing but things can take months to come threw. If you don't see something advertised ask sometimes low quanity items do not get listed.

Default Sarco

Sarco seems like a back room operation. They are into so many different things that they can't get any of them right. They have failed to send things ordered, sent too many, failed to credit wwhen items were returned etc. etc. I won't deal with them again. Lewis fifer
