Parts from Lugerman!
Hello to all, I just received a shipment of parts that I've had on order for a'while from Eugene... They came today, and I am really, really impressed with the quality and accuracy of the parts ordered, new take down lever, and brand new extractor, plus a couple of navy barrels.. And i'll tell you right upfront, I don't mind waiting for the quality, as I have yet to find the next vendor who can do this work! .........So, it takes time, I understand that, maybe better than most... Every part is a puzzle, and every part is a quest all on it's own... This gentleman has real talent!
If time is an issue, then you have to make arraignment that compensate for that part of the equation... I for one, am really impressed, Eugene is going to get a lot of my business in the future.... ... best to all, til...lat'r....GT.... |

As it is.....
Hi to all, Yes, I understand the frustration of waiting, for items in our hobby, and also outside of it! Sometimes I'm frustrated with myself as well, as I just can't find any energy to leap onto the next bull in the next stall... Not to mention trying to stay on task.... for even 8 seconds!
But in Eugene's case, It doesn't matter if you love him or hate him, one thing for sure, the man has some serious talent! And that's never going to change.. So, if you want work by masters like Mike Krause, Gail Morgan, Ted Green, Jerry Burney, Charles Danner, Eugene Golubtsov, etc. etc. (Jerry & Charles has real quick turnaround, but there skill level is in this group) . make your best deal, and then, you're probably going to have to wait, maybe a longtime.... ...... and then some day a package comes and you are taken right back into the turn of the 20th century! And that's pretty neat all by itself! .... Reality is, ain't nobody turning out items like Eugene is right now! If I was somewhere close to filthy rich, (that's approximately $40 bucks!)......... I would buy more stuff! ... But for now, I just have to play with what I have! Best to all, til....lat'r.....GT.... |

Making Luger stuff!
Hi to all, and hi Eugene! Hey, I just call'em as I see'em! ...... ... There is so much talent and knowledge, on this, and Jan Stills forum, that it makes me shudder when I think of what the possibilities are for the future! It's a new year, and a clean slate as far as I'm concerned! More new adventures than we can shake a stick at?...
BTW, GT Sport Target barrel customers! I'm turning threads! BTW, squared, Numrich drum customers! I'm milling the radius after welding the notch shut! tooling adjustments take time? BTW, cubed, magazine repair goes forward as time permits!.... BTW to the fourth power? I haven't any more rivets for "fxo" magazine bottoms so Lugerdoc is currently the only show in town! .... Best to all, til....lat'r....GT....... |

GT..Proud of you my Man! I hate to appear stupid. I haven't any more rivets for "fxo" magazine bottoms . By rivets are you meaning "pins" that hold on the mag pull bottoms? Cornfused...Or are there some rivets I am unaware of?

fxo stuff!
Hi Jer, yes! the "fxo" "code 122" thru center retaining pin / rivet, is the same whether it is on an aluminum or Bakelite bottom, It is a soft steel 3MM / .118" dia. X .800" long, and when squeezed between the two rivet sets, it expands the ends slightly, thus permanently holding the bottom on the tube?... Lot's of them have been pounded out and it's pretty tough on the magazine as a result? (Almost 100% breakage on the black Bakelite bottoms if not predrilled?) I try to make several hundred at a time, but man is it boring!!!!!!! .... I haven't had much in extra time, so I will have to pass the ball to Lugerdoc, who generally keeps a good supply of my stuff on hand.... When he wants more, I'll probably make them then? ... best to all, til....lat'r....GT....

My pictures I took of Lugermans parts, they are in the white and I would think since Lugers were slightly different, final fitting required
