Imperial Navy Holster Makers - Help Needed

I'm planning on including a list of known Navy holster makers in the next edition of "The Navy List". I believe it will be helpful in deciphering maker's marks that too often are only partly legible. Enclosed is the list of what I have so far, if you know of any others, please PM me before I "go to print". Thanks, Norm

I have not seen a A. Dahl Navy holster- can I see a photo please?
I have only seen Navy mag. pouches of ALBERT MÖLLER D´dorf ?
Please write ED. MOZER KARLSRUHE and F. J. DANIEL BÜHL I/B
Is it possible that J. BUGEN is L. RITGEN KARLSRUHE?
I never saw a holster of Tilman Berlin- can I see a photo please?
Same with Joseph Schwartz and Kersten. I´m living 20 kilometer from Crefeld (now Krefeld)- it would be nice to see a holster.
Please write M.OSWALD Karlsruhe and Stegmann & Bussau HAMBURG

Hi Klaus, Thanks for all that additional information, I'll send you the updated list, as part of the soon to be released "Navy List, V". I only have two photos to share, they are of holsters I own. Thanks for those pictures, Klaus, you truly have an amazing holster collection. I'm enclosing two more photos of my Wilh. Doll holster. It's the best one I've seen, also.
With regard to your questions, I unfortunately did not note down where I saw the holsters on my list (I will from now on). An A. Dahl/Barmen holster is pictured in "Imperial Lugers" by Jan Still on page 190. An Albert Möller/Dusseldorf Type 1 holster,and an L.Bugen/Karlsruhe Type 2 are illustrated in the new Görtz/Sturgess book "Pistole Parabellum". If you don't already have this book, you should get it. It's coverage of holsters and accessories is superb and the illustrations are wonderful. Best regards, Norm

I think that J. Burgen is definite L.Ritgen.
Some of the holsters on the photos are not mine; some photos are from my achive.

Norm, Do you have a closer photo of the knot on the end of your brown Navy pull-up strap? I have seen some very different types on Navy holsters..this is one I might not have come accross?

Norm, Yes! Exactly! Now I have one other question..is the strap on the inside of the holster overyly long? I have worked on a Navy holster recently where it was pointed as yours is and there was no knot. The strap hung out of the holster for 4-5 inches. Actually tucked into the closure tab of the closure strap. It was also a type 2 holster as I remember.

Hi Jerry, It's hard to measure the pull up strap accurately. When I pull it out as far as it will go, it protrudes 7". It doesn't seem noticeably longer than the strap on my Type 1 holster. Best regards, Norm

Norm, It sounds like your pull-up is normal the way it is...Pointed and tied into an unusual knot..One I have not come accross. Nothing normal about Navy holsters!
