Default Your Navy Magazine!!!!

It took me 5 years after purchasing my 1908 Navy from Ralph that I noticed the concentric rings on the mag grip and came up with a number of questions. First what was the first Navy luger that appeared the special grips. Did all Navies come with these grips. Why were they designed with these special kind or alteration? Was it a better designed grip in damp environments. What about the artillery lugers which faced a heck allot worse muddy, yicky environment. Did each producers of navy style luger have the concentric pattern. Where all navy mags bases come in wood? I'm sure I am missing a few!Maybe some of these question should have been ask sooner? God Bless!

Eric, I think it's just the proclivity of navies around the world to have equipment and uniforms that are particularly pleasing to the eye. My dad, an old soldier, told me once that the reason the Marines had such pretty dress uniforms and the Navy, their dress whites, was to make their formal dances on ship more festive. My pardon asked of Ron Smith, a brown water sailor.
