OK, I confess, I am intrigued by the Imperial era Lugers. I am thinking that for my first Luger I might want to get an Imperial shooter in decent, but respectable (shooting) condition. What do you mean "decent and respectable" Ezra? Hell, I don't know, I just don't want a rust bucket or something I will be embarrassed to take out and fondle. I am ploughing new ground here guys and kinda need some guidance. I am currently saving my pennies and nickels and should (hopefully) have around $1200 by the end of the calender year. I have no no rock solid preferences but DWM and/or Erfurt are certainly possibilities. .30 Luger or 9mm, don't care actually. Constructive guidance appreciated.

Hi Ezra, You should be able to find a decent Erfurt for around $1,200.00, nothing looks more "Imperial". Regards, Norm

Indeed. ![]() Thanks gents. I attend all local gun shows rather religiously. Unfortunately, where I am located (South Eastern Washington state) they are little more than firearm flea markets. I probably need to attend the bigger shows in Western Washington like Puyallup. Ez |

Ezra, remember, that imperial means military (most likely) and it should be 9mm
![]() Next Monday I will be in the Tri-Cities for thanksgiving week with my family...

...But ask the questions here; not to the seller at the gun show...Odds are, he's nothing more than a used car salesman...
![]() Gun show sellers are how "Black Widow", "Hitler's Luger", "SS Lugers", "Original Luger Carbines" etc got started... ![]() Luckily, "Totenkopf" and "Russian Contract" Lugers are real, so don't bother looking for them at gun shows; only reputable Luger connoisseurs offer them for sale... ![]() ...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... ![]() ![]()

I'm glad you added "most likely" as I use the term "Imperial era" for this Luger vintage, which includes all Lugers, commercial and military, produced between 1898 and 1918. Ron
