"Mexican police now regularly turn up arsenals worthy of the U.S. Marines. One stash found in November in Guerrero state included 11 AR-15s, two AK-47s, ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, bulletproof vests, fatigues and combat boots".
Geez! The Marines only have eleven AR-15s and two AK-47s?? I guess this means I'll have to stop selling hand grenades at gun shows...

Funny, they don't mention anything about helping to stop the illegal border crossings.

It's the same syndrome around the world, blame the USA for their problems. If their inept Government would grow a pair, they could solve the problem. But that's ok, the best guns I own are the ones I don't own (wink).

I live within a few miles of the Mexican border. The news does not generally go too far inland from this region but Mexico is busy importing every horrible dangerous drug known to man. You name it and Mexicans are caught bringing this poison into the US on a daily basis.
"Wherever the weapons come from, they're dangerous." This statement made by the Mexicans is extremely stupid and does not address the root cause of the need for weapons in Mexico..Drugs. The drug dealers are the dangerous ones and there would be no need for weapons were it not for the huge amount of illegal poisionous drugs produced there. The fight and use of these weapons is not against the Mexican authorities because they are complicit in the drug trade, The use for these sophisticated weapons is against rival drug dealers. These weapons come from your country, we know that for a fact," he said. Substitute DRUGS for weapons and these Idiot Mexican authorities can realize their problem arises from their own perfidity. They don't want to face facts as it is all about the American dollar. The Mexican government has been corrupt and the condition of this 3rd World country is evidence of officials who like to rob and steal. Their history has been rampant with unstable government and revolution. The last thing they want to see is an armed and intelligent populace. Rather keep the status quo and take in money from their rich neighbor thru any means possible. Reimposing the U.S. Assault Weapons Ban would go a long way toward stemming violence along the border, said Santiago Vasconcelos, Mexico's deputy attorney general for organized crime. The only violence I have heard about along the border is rock throwing Mexican illegals who get shot by the Border Patrol. Where the violence is..Tiajuana and many other Mexican cities where drug Lords battle it out and shoot any Mexican Police who threaten their lifestyle. Reimposing the U.S. Assault Weapons Ban is what any repressive Govenment wants to make itself immune from an unruly free populace. The Mexican peasant is voting with their feet....Jerry Burney

Tom - those sell like hotcakes in El Paso, especially if they are nickle plated.
