Default Toggle Unmarked in 1900?

HI:

I am looking at a 1900 AE on Gunbroker (#83564602). The seller says that the DWM did not start marking the toggle until 1901 and this accounts for the toggle being unmarked on this luger. I have been going through my references and have not seen a reference to this. Has anyone heard this before?
Thanks

Horsehockey. There were no 1900 Lugers that did not have the DWM toggle logo. This gun has been reblued (including parts that should be strawed), rebarreled, and generally reworked into something it never was. This fine old Luger has been reduced to shooter status.

Thanks, I kind of thought that that might be the case. Always good to have an expert option.
