1910 DWM holster

I have a 1910 DWM that was converted to a police pistol, (sear retainer), Anyway, the holster it came with is brown, with only an Imperial Crown stamp under the mid stiching and belt loops, Under the crown a capitol "I" (for Imperial I guess). Is this holster period correct? Original? Sorry no pics, In the process of switching to MAC. Thanks,,Bill Masterson.

Description leads me to think 1918 Bavarian.

Those late War holsters marked with the Roman numeral I, II or III are considered Barvarian issued, as mentioned above by George. There are usually dated 1918.

So it's a Roman numeral 1 ? Not an "I" . I don't think you can ever learn all there is with these pistols, Thanks guys. I thought it was period. This pistol saw some very heavy use, The barrel had been re-sleeved, And the rifling in that was worn down. Sent it out to Tom a few years back for a full replacement barrel. Then sent it out to Ted Green for full resto,,Great shooter, But I sometimes wonder what this gun was used for to sustain such heavy wear, Being a police gun, Hopefully just range time. Hi Bill, The police conversion would not have taken place until after the end of WW1. Your 1910 Luger likely saw a lot of use during the war. Regards, Norm
