Default All of My German collection so far

Hey everyone! Here is all the stuff I have in my German collection which spans from the Imperial era all the way through today. What is in the overall picture is this, and I’ve included pictures of the highlights as I saw fit.

-A Nazi Podium flag taken by one of our GI’s in 1945
-A Pickelhaube issued to the Prussian 82nd infantry regiment in 1915
-My 2 Lugers (a 1920 Commercial in .30 Luger sold here in the states and a Shooter grade 1937 Mauser)
-A 1938 Luger holster
-A WW1 Bavarian Offiicer’s Sword with scabbard
-A WW2 Eickhorn Nazi dress sword, Scharnhorst series with scabbard
-A few minor German medals as well as a Nazi Party pin from 1925 and an armpatch with smaller pin
-A Soviet infantry cap with an assortment of pins and medals on it
-An Imperial KIA telegram for a family in Kiel
-A Nazi Parade pennant as well as a Kaiserliche Marine parade flag
-A Weimar era birth certificate (I haven’t been able to decipher all the dates to figure out a DOB, handwritten German is still beyond my capability to read at the moment)
-50 Reichmark bill from 1921
-A WW2 work Permit for a woman in Neurnberg to work in a factory
-A battlefield photo of a broken down piece of German armor during the Battle of the Bulge in Dec. 1944
-1926 hat for one of the paramilitary “Stahlhelm” organization members
-A unique German cognac/liquor dispenser that looks like a Pickelhaube, also with it was a shot glass supposedly picked up from a German POW
-Lots of Beer Steins so I’ll just hit the noteworthy ones.
-A commemorative stein from the 1972 Munich Olympics
-A stein bearing the seal of the Royal family of the Principality of Liechtenstein (Fürstentum Liechtenstein, my personal favorite stein)
-The crown Jewel, a WW1 military stein issued to a Captain Andreas Bechtler of the 11th Bavarian Infantry regiment.

Hope you all enjoyed this! If there is anything you want to see closer, let me know and I’ll try to take more pictures and post later.

Good start, and then likely you'll center on one area, perhaps in 8-12 yrs

Probably will focus on my steins and Lugers, they seem to be my favorites to collect and find.

That’s awesome. I have only found my one stein and the seller only asked $30 for it and had no idea what it was. Needless to say that I quickly made sure to take it off of their hands.

Very nice. That’s a gorgeous Kar 88AZ too. Now I can show my girlfriend so that she knows what a very large section of whatever our future home is going to look like!

Sure you can show her or you can bring her to Virginia and show her in person.

Definitely something I’ll have to consider! I’m always game to go see such a collection, it’s like years of antique searching and hunting all put into one place!

Yes it does, it’s very important to preserve historical artifacts like these. I also have several books from 1940 and before. In fact I just picked up another one today from 1938 about the transition from the Old World Order into the New World Order after WW1. Another one I have is about all the world leaders in 1906 and their lifestyles, homes, interests, and other biographical information. It’s very neat. Also have an American geography book from 1866 that references the actual Austrian Empire (before the split into the abomination known as the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary). In an era where plenty seem hell bent on re-writing history, I do what I can to preserve the truth of what happened and I’m sure all of you fine people on here do as well.
