1910 magazines
Are these correct for a 1910 Luger?

The magazines issued with 1910 DWM Lugers would have been wood based with one having the serial number only and the other a + to indicate that it was the spare.
The two aluminum based mags you show were Police issue as indicated by the numbers 1 & 2 with 1 the primary and 2 the spare. Apparently at some point in it's history, your 1910 Luger was used in Police service. That is verified by the sear safety, the grip modified for the magazine cutoff safety and the numbered axle pin. |

As Doubs said no. Your mags were likely issued when it was in police service.
One clarification, early WWI mags for First Issues up to 1911 had large numbers and no suffix. Early DWMs never had suffix marked mags except a few 1911 dated lugers in the e block. The spare had a dimple/period not a plus sign. The spares were marked with a + sometime in1911 when the change was made to smaller numbers. |
