Today was MG-34 day
The Form 4 for my MG-34 came in today and I picked up the gun. All the big parts are serial number matching, although the top cover is force matched. The receiver appears to be Navy property marked. I'll get it out this weekend and see how it runs.

ohhhhh - I've shot the 'newer' version in the mid-90's and it was cool.
An original, wow.... |

It's just a matter of priorities... I see folks going into 6, 7 years of debt to buy an 85,000 dollar pickup truck, that they drive around empty 90 percent of the time. But, apparently that's a priority for them... Me, I like nice guns. No junk please. Some folks just talk about doing things. Other folks actually do things. |

Not to mention that their $85,000 truck will be worth a lot less in a few years. OTOH, that MG-34 will likely be worth more than you paid if kept in good condition. You made an investment.

Well, after a couple months and several trips to the range, it looks like I've finally chased the gremlins out of the MG34. After replacing several worn trigger group parts, and some clipped/incorrect springs, it finally ran normally for 200 rounds straight. No doubling on semi auto, and no runaway on full auto. Finally a nice, reliable MG. I'm a happy camper.
