Steve and Chris -

As far as we can tell, there is only one maker working in stainless: Mr Romo. Various names have been used on his creations through the years, depending on which distributor he was working with at the time - but ALL of the stainless guns originated in his facility. I'll try to post photos of the right sides of my three Texas-built Lugers, but it may take several days to get that done. The markings shown in the gallery photo Chris posted above appear to be consistent with my Mitchell, but that album belongs to John Sabato and he can probably provide the details.

Ponyman, it's not the stainless guns I'm looking for. It's the grip safety...

When I ordered my second one, I had a choice of with or without grip safety. I was going to get it without but when I found out that I could get the dished toggles, I went with those and the grip safety to give it a look like a 1902.

Steve, where did you order those? I'm assuming from AIMCO, but that's just an assumption...

Yes, that is where I ordered. They shipped to the gun range that I belong to for the FFL requirement.

If you look in the Member Gallery at pages 4,5, and 13 there are photos of stainless guns and an older price list. Photos of mine next to Dwight's 1900 are on page 13. The 6in. stailess listed as SMR is mine also. The 4.75 inch is in .30cal and the 6" is 9mm. The .30cal has OFM in scroll on the toggle like the DWM ones. It adds a nice touch!
