P38 Brown Bakelite Grips needed!!!!!
I have been trying to buy a matching pair of brown Bakelite P38 grips for some time but without any luck. Does anyone out there know where I can defiantly buy a matching pair or have a set that they are willing to sell to me.Even if you only have the right side grip in Brown Bakelie as this is the one that is very badly damaged . I hope someone out there can help my slightly sick looking P38.Thank you for your time!

Marstar has some original P38 parts for sale, including a set of grips. He doesn't state what color they are, but here is his website: http://www.marstar.ca/waltp38s.htm

Re: Also try Tom Heller...
Try John Raum at OHIOWINGS@aol.com he stocks a large assortment of parts for pre 1946 P.38's and is an excellent source. Grips are becoming scace because so many people are replacing the Ukranian ones on the recent imports. What year and code do you need?

Re: P38 Brown Bakelite Grips needed!!!!!
If Tom Heller does not have a set, you may want to try Randy Bessler in Carson City, Nevada. His telephone number is (775) 885-0717. I know he has a set of black ones for $75 a set and they are perfect. His inventory changes so he may be able to help with the reddish brown ones. The black plastic were used on the late 1943 through 1945 on the Mauser, but some were on the Walther also. Good Luck
