In comparing it to some of the Lugers at Simpson's, it does appear to be somewhat larger.

Congratulations on your Luger. I "got started" with a nice Alphabet Commercial like yours (mine was from 1923). They are remarkable firearms.
Do everything you can to study this pistol. Lots of good reference material available, including several books authored by participants of this forum. Marc
