Houston Tx Astrohall G.S.
Quite a few Lugers with prices ranging from ridiculus to reasonable. Saw two refinished parts guns for $400 each, I offered $300 each, but he actually sold them to someone for $400! I bought a "safe/loaded" shooter grade and the 9mm "target" pictured. Note slab bbl, allen screw in trigger for trigger stop, and you can't see the square notch rear sight. Action and trigger are very smooth. This gun was built by a rcently deceased gunsmith as his personal weapon.

Re: Damn.....
John, Wish I could answer all your questions... but . I don't know who the gunsmith was, the guy I got it from had bought it from the estate and didn't remember the owners name. I don't know if he made any others, but he did put his "mark" on the toggle; see picture. Looks like an eagle or hawk head. I plan to "border checker" the grips you see on the gun. The front sight is a square blade and gives a very nice sight picture with the square notch rear sight. I am not ashamed to admit that I paid $500 for the gun!

To say I'm jealous would be an understatement...
Please - when you get your grips on, or go to the range with it, please post back here - I'd like to live vicariously through this Luger and your exploits with it!!! If ANYONE has one like this for sale in ANY caliber - please e-mail me [a blatant want ad..] |

Re: Houston Tx Astrohall G.S.
No I have never built any MSTR. the reason for the big 1911 styled safety is that I shoot a bit of PPC 1500 and the original Lugersafety is totally impossible to use.
It's by the way an exelent gun for the PPC1500 as its a shooting dicipline that requires very good accuracy. I am not that good but my maximum so far is 1447 points. Regards HÃ?Â¥kan http://www.vapensmedjan.com |

Re: Houston Tx Astrohall G.S.
Hakan, I see that your custom PO8 shooter has the Mauser Parabellum Sport Model adjustable rear sight. Any chance of finding more of these in Europe? I also would like to try your custom safety lever. Do you sell these separately? If so, please state cost and how to obtain.

Re: MSTR
Patrick, I believe that John Martz's patent on his MARTZ SAFETY TOGGLE RELEASE is still active. I'm sure for the right price he would install one on your luger.
