Default hole in the back side

Dear Sirs,
I desire to buy a splendid P08 holster with Waffenamt with Weimar eagle. In the rear side of the holster, on the right, there is a hole declared by the seller as "....YOU WILL NOTICE THE HOLE PLACED IN THE LEFT BACK OF THE HOLSTER. THIS WAS A PERIOD MODIFICATION IN ORDER TO SEAL THE GUN IN THE HOLSTER WITH TWINE AND A LEATHER SEAL TO PREVENT TAMPERING AT THE ARSENAL....". Do you agree with the seller declaration?
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely
Giorni

Welcome Giorni!

Please see clarification below. I was not aware of this modification.

The simple answer is NO! What arsenal? Where? When?
This is a very creative story to explain the damage to an otherwise decent holster. The hole itself does not detract too much from the holster as it is on the back but the holster should be priced accordingly.

Be careful...If the seller is willing to stretch the truth in this way there may be other things that are not correct in this sale.

I disagree. Our own Jerry Burney pointed this out on a holster I had sent him. Seems like he mentioned leaded wire being used, possibly on ship, etc, but the point was that they basically "bolted it down to keep it from walking away".
Let's hear from Jerry...

There is an example of this in Benders book if I remember right, unsure about this one, but the story is a true one, just no one knows if the story is true for this one...
