Hey, I would not mind having this, but at over 2,000 euro's, is it a bit expensive for the condition?

Gents,
That is a very good price. In fact, almost any un-futzedwith Imperial Navy that is 85% or better is an easy $2K. The simple facts are there are far more dollars than original Navy guns. I seldom, if ever, quibble over the price. One can always get more money but the supply of these beauties is definately limited. Tom A. |

Ed,
I don't understand German but I think that it comes with a stock, rod and tool. Someone told me yesterday that Shattuck has a navy stock for $1000. That brings down the price of this navy quite a bite. On the first Luger, the barrel looks pretty shinny. Maybe it is a restored Luger. Big Norm |

http://www.hermann-historica.com/auk...s/lot/2415.htm Navy Luger 04, DWM, type 1914 Kal. 9 mm of Para, No. 4917a. Number equal. Run mirror bright. Left at the griffstueck, at the grain base and on the case bez. "1917". Div. deep naval acceptance Krone/M. Original burnishing keep complete. Partially easy Rostnaerbchen in front at the run, left at the knee joint, at the departure and at the safety device. Number-same, nickel plated magazine with acceptance Krone/M. Dark-brown nut wood grip caps. In addition the dark-brown notice board (on the stamp plate acceptance Krone/M), the putzstock, the key and an original light brown control guidance, overwrote MY PISTOL 08 "with" bag board of Colonel Schmitt. A beautiful, not everyday set! I believe that "Bag Board" Is the closest translation of Holster/Wooden Stock. ViggoG As always I'm Wrong Again, Holster/Wooden Stock translates to Holster/Wooden Vorrat. Now I wonder what it means ? |

I can't quibble about the translation... my Deutsche ist nichts zehr gut... but if I am not mistaken, Auktion 43 at Hermann-Historica took place in the year 2001 and these prices are therefore two years out of date...
