Blue Dot with 7.65 Luger reloads???
Anyone use Blue Dot with 30 Luger reloads??? I only have this powder left, and some 85 gr semi-jacketed RN bullets...Thought I'd whip up some 30's and shoot them off...

Rich,
Found a reference: 7 to 7.5 grains Blue Dot with 85 grain bullet @ 1297fps. This isn't a load that I have used, so I'm not recommending it's use. Just passing it along. Ron

it should work fine, but as a quite slow pistol powder, you'd get the best results if your gun is a 4.75in barrel (or longer) rather than the 3 7/8 version....doesnt meter very well through most measures, tho...if you're weighing each charge, not an issue

Rick,
I agree, fast powders don't seem to work well in Lugers. Not enough hang time in the recoil impluse, resulting in short stroking. I use Unique most of the time. Tried some 700X, but it's kind of finicky and burns dirty. Ron
