RIA auction Question
How can a person see what the guns sold for? This was my 1st time participating and was curious how far off I was on my bids.

The internet proxy service:
Day 2: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=99126 Day 1: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=99125 The price listed is hammer price. Adding 15% will be the total price. Tomorrow, Day 3, the link is this one: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=99128 They even have real-time video. Auction is running by three men and one lady. |

Alvin's link is best; RIA will eventually post the prices to the online catalog, but it's at least a week/10 days until they do...
What did you look at today, Alvin??? Did they let you handle anything???

Dave,
if you bookmark the page , sometimes after the auction that same page will show the status and if sold the sell price for a few days - but search in proxibid for that same item with the auction number wont find it thanks Bill |

I still visit the RIA auctions and bid on items but I no longer have any expectation of winning anything. I just like to receive the big auction catalogs.

I go thru the catalog (for auctions that coincide with $ in my account) and plop down proxy bids for what I'm willing to pay for an item, then await the results. Use the auction company's site to leave the bid and save the Proxibid 3%! Pay by M.O. and save the credit card 3%! The M1900 Stainless and M1900 Commercial, my last two, I think I did pretty darn well.

Ambushing an item does not work well in big auction houses. They have too many bidders. Almost nothing is very cold these days. |

Just watched a few minutes... quite a few Machine Guns are not high priced. If local law permits, those are registered fully transferable. Just a nice pistol's price.

I got a 'Thank You!' email from RIA today, it contained an interesting feature I don't think they've offered before - a downloadable .PDF document of final "realized" lot prices.
Here's the pertinent part of the email (hopefully, the links are still hot)... For those curious... The Prices Realized from our September 2015 Premiere Firearms Auction are already available on our Online Catalog or by viewing the PDF document on our website. To use the Online Catalog, simply search for the item using a keyword, lot number, or any other of our search styles and hit enter. When the item appears, all the way on the right will be a button that says "View Price" and when you click it a pop-up window will appear with that item's price. It's as easy as that. Enjoy! I downloaded the .PDF doc, but since I didn't bid on anything this time it's not all that much use to me...
