Default Code 42 and byf 41

Hello,

just acquired a new 42 41 to put together with my byf 41.

The new luger has a mark that seems an asterisk on the barrel.

Any meaning of this?

Comments and infos are really appreciate.

Ciao

Alberto

What is the serial number and letter suffix of your 41-42 and 41-byf I record all this data? .My opinion......This same mark * is found on the some Mauser P-38 pistols. I believe these were rejected parts and used later in the Military production of both the P 08 and P 38. When I first mentioned this to the P 38 King he felt this certainly was a possibility. This is a long story and not the time here to present all the details. good Luck
