Original luger ammo dates
When were the 'truncated bullets' used in luger ammo? Was it 7.65 or 9mm or both? When did production of this loading start and stop? I am interested in collecting some of this type of ammo for my display.
Thanks very much

Both calibers started out with truncated bullets.
The German army switched to conical bullets in 1916 after accusations by France that they used dumdums, forbidden acvording to international law. Several contractors kept using truncated bullets, like the Dutch East Indies army and the Dutch navy. |
