Action seems tight
The pull on the toggle seems excessive. Any way to adjust, reduce
or what. First 08 type luger. |

Could be many things here... The Luger is a precision mechanism with very tight tolerances.
If all the parts are matching, I'd first disassemble the gun and check metal to metal contact resistance without the recoil spring engaged. Make sure it's properly lubed. Could be dirty. Could be mismatched parts; Could be bent parts; Obvious damage? Marc |

Marc is right.
After disassembly and cleaning, I would try using some spray silicone to free it up. See if that helps or solves the problem.

I just use a good light viscosity gun oil (like RemOil or Hoppes Oil) on rotating surfaces and medium grease (like Lubriplate) on sliding surfaces.
Lugers should have matching numbers on many parts. They were hand fitted at the factory since the clearances are so tight. Marc |
