HK #8647 Photos
Rather hurried photos of Joe's Krieghoff and accompanying Radom(?) holster.
A very nice Luger, and a very nice and fortunate Gentleman. Ron

Ron,
* Correct.....Radom Holster. * "bnz" as you probably know is Steyr's code. WaA is likely WaA623. * Normally marked p.35(p); but, the p.35(b) is also seen. Some believe the "b" marked examples may have been for the Browning 640(b). Others believe a bad stamp, too much vodka, etc. Would a High Power mag fit in the mag pouch without undue force?? * Mr Gentleman Joe has got himself a nice HK. * Thanks for sharing. |

Spare mag
I went and tried one of the clips from a Radom. It was pretty snug, so don't think a Hi Power clip would work in this holster. Thanks for your knowledgeable input.

John,
The really "unfortunate" part is that it was given to him. He didn't spend a dime on it. I'm obviously not living right...

Ron,
Gee whiz, I thought ALL 16 year old kids in 1956 were given these things along with the bring back paper, the helmet, the Ger. motorcycle gloves, etc. Do you mean this isn't the normal thing that uncles did? The " unfortunate" thing was that I didn't also get the like new in the box PPK, whose serial number is also on the same bring back paper. Darn. Oh well, guess I will just have to put up with what I have. I thank every one who has given me a lot of help with this gun. With out this forum, I would never have found a correct holdopen which was thrown away by a family member who thought it was "junk".
