Post Artillery Luger Stock ?

Hello all, another new member and just a novice at that. SO the question I have today is concerning a luger stock I picked up a couple months back. I think I have an orignal Artillery stock. Could someone confirm the originality and possibly the year of manufacture. The metal serial # is 6063g and there is an S stamped into the wood just in front of the leather held on by 4 screws, the leather tab is stamped "MAURY & CO OFFENBACH A/M.". I will say I replaced 3 of the 4 screws, cold blued the screws and the lock lever but the rest of the blue looks original only rusty. I put Pecards on the leather and linseed oil on the wood. Second, I only have two standard lugers at this time. Would it be recomended to keep this stock or sell? I could use the cash now but then what if I run across a Luger needing a stock? Opinions please.

James, you have good stuff there. Maury was known to mark the leather parts they made. The stock rig is supposed to be associated with a Luger with an 8" barrel (artillery model). Should you decide to sell what you have I am a buyer. My email address is keoki77@earthlink.net.
I advise that you do not apply any more Pecards or anything else to the leather. And do not rplace any more screws or parts.

James,

Placing this stock on your regular 4" barreled lugers can lead you into trouble with the BATF and even your local gun-range masters...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Thanks for the warning Pete, I hand't thought of the legal issue until I started reading posts on this site. I think it is best to stay out of jail.

I would be interested in the setup too if you decide to sell.
