Post Dutch Luger Main Spring Design ?

Just read in my copy of "The Duch Luger" by Martens & de Vries on page 27, last paragraph; that these authors conclude that the new "improved" coiled main spring was a Dutch invention/improvement to the 1900 Luger and not an improvement that originated at DWM. DWM seemed to adopt this design from the Dutch and DWM seemed to document this coil change after 1904 as the "Dutch Model main spring"...

Is this fact well-accepted in the Luger field ?
