P-38 Question
I saw a post-war P-38 today. The slide was gray-green parkerized and the frame was alloy. The slide clearly said "P-38" and also carried the Walther banner. It's in 99% condition and looks to be unfired. They're asking $379.99 but I believe I can get it for close to $350. What is the likelyhood that these will become collector pieces? There couldn't have been too many P-38's made after the war before they began marking them "P-1". Does anyone have any idea of production numbers for post-war P-38's or any opinions about the price for this one? It includes a used holster. I'm not a P-38 expert by any means and would appreciate any help given.

Doubs, also check http://www.p38forum.com
Now is an excellent time to get a post war P.38 complete with two mags, holster and box. I got mine for trade of a salt blue job on a 45. $350 is a good price. Quite a volume of these have just recently been imported and most have little wear. Mine is VERY accurate for a P.38 And now it looks like..........this!!!
