Post Picture Post???

I notice that there are pictures that are bigger than the 180K size limitation for the forum, in the Member Gallery. Is there a special place to upload images for the gallery, and what are image specifications for that area???

Johnny, not meaning to speak for John, (but will), he hasn't set a limit for that area, it automatically resizes and then you can request the larger format if you want to see that size.

I like it because I can just choose to put pics in the member gallery and it auto sizes, yet you can see my pics large or the size it has resized them for you.

Did that make sense?

The upload feature for the gallery is only shown after you register to use it. I recommend using the same login credentials (ID and password) that you use for the forum. You must login separately because the Member Gallery is a separate piece of software that is not integral to the forum software. Once you login, you will see menu choices for creation of new album. Once you create an album, you will get menu choices for uploading photos.

It is pretty intuitive if you know your way around a computer... if you don't there is plenty of help available here for the asking.

As Ed told you above, there is not currently a limitation on the size of photos that you upload. The software creates both the thumbnail images and the intermediate image and still keeps the large size available if someone wants to download or just see it. It is a good feature of the Lugerforum.

Still no extra menu items have shown up on my screen. I login and logout, but I see nothing different...

Click on member gallery, register, or log in, then New Album should appear, then follow those directions.

Johnny, did you sign in a 2nd time?

I had a problem where it was weird at one time, and John fixed it for me. But you have to be signed in like normal, then you have to register / and sign in a 2nd time after you reach the Member Gallery.

and once you sign into the gallery, you will see the existing albums as before but there should be one additional menu choice at the top...

-create new album-

Once you take that link, you should see many new choice for the new album you want to create including "add photos"

BTW, if you are running any Ad blocking software such as AdSubtract, it will interfere with the Member Gallery operation, because some features require a pop-up window.

Hi Johnny...

Give it a try now - and tell me if it works, OK?

Best to you!
