DWM or Erfurt
Greetings,
Is there any difference in a DWM holster compared to a Erfurt holster. I am referring to 1910-1918 years? Thanks, Mike |

DWM holster- Erfurt holster Neither of these exist to my knowledge. Luger holsters are Luger holsters other than Luftwaffe holsters, Army, Police ..designations like that.

Luger holsters were manufactured all over Germany by many large and small ,shops. Klaus's last list shows 375 known shops. I expect they were issued by a central office. Holsters were repaired, modified, converted and much used wherever needed with very little regard to where they came from date etc. One size fits all. Bill

I don't have specifics, but all goverments issue specs for a product they desire and any suppliers who can meet those specs within the bid parameters will usually get the job.
In wartime, the usual suppliers are augmented by non traditional shops in related fields, (for holsters, this would be saddle and harness shops, bootmakers, etc.) This is why we have M1 Carbines marked General Motors, Rockola, etc. |
