Default Unit Marked Magazine

Is this a navy magazine? It has the X that you see on Third Reich era Navy magazines which leads me to believe it might be.

I would be more inclined to think it is a weimar army marking Steve

Hi Ed,

Any idea of what it might be as far as Weimar? You are the only one that has said anything about it on this or the other board. Surely some else has seen this or something similar before.

Mostly from the fact that a serial number has been crossed out and another added.

This occured mainly in the post WW1 Weimar era, when pistols were in short supply and hundreds were renumbered for police and army units.
