Default Front sight p08

What size is the dovetail for the front sight on a Luger?

It is smaller than normal, called a European dovetail. Same as a Mauser K98. Someone will hopefully be along shortly with a bit better reply.

The dove tail size is not shown on any of my drawings- though the dovetail is.

Perhaps Eugene-Lugerman can advise- he cuts many of them for his barrels!

Since GT had a number of sights made up, he can probably answer that question
