Sarco has a drum magazine for the 1911. Perhaps that is 'tweakable' ?

Looks like a "steampunk" magazine or something Buck Rogers would have used. Would go nicely with one of Eugene's carbines in polished stainless steel and snazzy synthetic stock. Too late...you can't unthink the image.

Nice photoshop work Gerben.

I was thinking brass lid and blued body

But all joking aside. The original Luger Drum design has an L-shape, which is pretty much useless. If you have a Drum magazine like the 1911 one, which feeds in a straight line with the magazine extension, things should run a lot smoother, and easier to build also.

It looks like it could be modified...And it's only ~$60...When it's back in stock...

28 round capacity...

http://www.e-sarcoinc.com/model-1911...-magazine.aspx

There's one for the 45 Glock too...That might be a candidate as well...

http://www.e-sarcoinc.com/40-round-g...-magazine.aspx

40 round capacity...

They both look like they use OEM magazine shells fastened to the drum...
