Or, if you want the complete rig consisting of pistol with both magazine and stock numbered to pistol accompanied by holster:

I couldn't find the 1915 LP-08 with the holster and stuff. Maybe its been sold. I did see a nice 1918 LP-08 rig and it looks pretty good. I'll be going back there as soon as I finish with the Luger forum.

Norm:
The LP-08 that I noted above is a 1918 date and it is listed as item AR-15. The holster that Pete noted in his entry is a 1915 holster only and is under accessories and then under holsters. I see that you have found the rig I mentioned. David |

Dave,
the 1918 artillery looks good. The write-up does not mention anything about the holster and its attachments being included even though the accompanying pictures suggest that it is. Is there a date and manufacturer on the holster? There is no mention that there are two matching magazines for this gun. Do you have pictures of the serial numbers on the magazines wood bottoms and on the stock? Please contact me via the forums email. Big Norm PS I must be going coo-coo or something. I went to the accessories section within the Luger shop and could not find the holster that Pete posted. But I clicked on Pete's pointer above and saw the holster. But it is mentioned there that the artillery holsters are sold out. |

Norm,
You aren't losing your marbles. A very early Artillery holster in that condition and at that price wasn't going to last long. It is probably already sold.

In addition to our pm exchange, here is how to find the 1915 holster, altough Ron is correct, if is note as "sold out." Go to the Simpson home page. Click on the right end of the top bar at "shop online" and drag to "luger accessories" To the left, click on "holsters." Scroll down the long list of holsters to the very bottom and you will see the 1915 example that Pete had noted for us. Hope this is small help. David |

Ron is totally correct in saying that to find an original artillery holster is difficult. But to find a good one with all the original attachments and not just one that is a put together with pieces from different holsters, now that is real tough.
I just got a note from Simpson regarding the above mentioned 1918 artillery and holster rig that he is selling. It has a 1917 holster with manufacturers marking that, he says, is difficult to read. The Luger only has one matching mag. I am passing but the rig does not look bad. Big Norm |

Gunman,
the 1917 holster is shown in Simpsons holster catagory but the number in stock is listed as "none". The 1917 holster that is on the 1918 rig is not listed under Simpsons holster catagory. So the 1918 full rig is still entact and available. Big Norm |
