Default Police or Unit Mark

Can anyone identify the marking on the front strap of my 1910 Mauser Pocket Pistol? I was told it was a police mark.... Is it?

Any info is appreciated.

EDIT:
I think I found my own answer....

Karl, while it is possible that this marking is from the Air Surveillance Battalion of Pommern, it is much more likely that it is from the Landjägerei (rural police) of the Potsdam administrative district. Are you sure it is a M1910 and not a M1914? Could you tell us the serial number?

Don,
Thanks for the reply. It is 1635xx. It's chambered in 32acp.

I'm in agreement with Don. I think it's a Landjägerei mark.

For what it is worth I think it is a police gun (rural constabulary) and I agree with Don and Ron.

It's a M1914 from Potsdam. More can be found on these and other Landjägerei markings in Chapter 13 of HWIS. I would caution about using the Brown web site to identify police markings. Some of it is OK but there are some significant omissions.

Thanks all.... Is the holster specifically designed for this gun or is it for a PP? It's marked Otto Sindel Berlin 1941 with an eagle banner.
