KL question
Does anyone know the significance of the KL on this Luger reciever? I know that there was a KL within a O on the Dutch guns. This gun was on Gun Broker recently. It is a K date that has apparently been rebarrled to 7.65mm, as the bottom of the magazine is stamped 7.65. The serial # on the reciever is 7001; no pic was shown of the front, so I do not know what the letter is.

This gun has been on the net FS at least 3 times of which I am aware. The KL meaning is unknown; it is clearly a re-done piece, so who knows the significance? I'd bet that sooner or later, someone will try to say that it stands for Konzentration Lager...

I am pretty sure this one has shown up on the forum once before, and I ventured the opinion that KL might be the initials of the guy who refinished it!

This Luger obviously was in the service of the security guard at the distellery. Konzentration Lager... distilled beer? In other words whiskey?

Hi Folks!
It has been up for sale before and we had a rather long discussion on it. Iâ??m of the opinion itâ??s authentic, and likely from a small, foreign, police contract - possibly one of the Baltic countries. But we may never know for with any certainty :-( Warm regards, Kyrie Moderator - Cruffler_Forum on Yahoo Groups "The flame free C&R Forum." |

Gee...I think it belonged to Konrad Luger ...Georg's son?..and dad made it special for him and those are his initials?
Unfortunately, Konrad's records were all destroyed during the war but the Vet who owned it got it from a German who got it from a German who knew the Luger family! Orv [snicker snicker.....]
