is it correct to assume this is an "Early military" tin-plated body with the wooden bottom piece?

Default Probably Police

With number 2 on base, probably police. Military did not use numbers.

Even with the help of Photoshop I can not tell what the top stamp is. Looks most like a 1. If so This must be a confused magazine--not knowing if it is a first or second mag. If it is not a 1 and is an acceptance stamp then this is probably an Erfurt. Is there anything on the flat edge of the Mag?

it appears that there is a "1" stamp on top, and no additional markings on the mag.. however, I'll know 100% once I have it in hand. Good eye Gary!
