Default Web Holster

I hope I don't upset anyone by posing this question; was there ever a military "web" holster made for the P-08? I was at a gun show the other day and a fella had a number of weird holsters. I saw one that looked like it would fit a long-barreled Luger. I enquired about it immediately and the guy said it was a replica of WW1 German Navy holster, only thing was it was made of a gray-green "web" material.

I was going to buy it because it looked pretty cool, but the thought of $65.00 for a replica of a non existent holster was kind of stiff, but then again it would look kind of cool with my 29/70 Mauser parabellum in it, oh yeah and it had a place for an extra magazine in front.

I think I would be better served by investing in a higher grade of California wine and staying away from the 5-litre boxes...................

Ray, attached some photos of a canvas P08 holster (not mine), canvas LP08 holster (with regiment markings) and canvas C96 holster, both were in my collection a few years ago (sold now).

Thanks so much! Really fantastic! I talked to a guy at the OGCA show and he said he knew that they were made at one time, but very few were still around. Wonder if these were ever made for the Navy Luger?...................

Ray, I never heard of any canvas holster for the Naval Luger. Can you ask and post some photos ?
