Default Swiss Proof mark

Do Swiss Lugers have a proof mark on the trigger lever? More specifically the Shooting-in proof of Federal Arms Factory, Berne?

Frank,

Don't think it was standard practice. My 06/29 doesn't have one and the trigger levers of the side plates pictured in Bobba's book also show no evidence of such a marking.

The Swiss cross marked trigger levers were standard on Swiss MADE 1924-29 Model lugers and as replacements on earlier models. TH

On closer examination it was also marked with a "06". None of my books mention the tigger lever being serial numbered on any swiss models.

Default Determining year

Hi all,

New to forum...I have an older model left to me by my father. It has the "DWM" is script, but no swiss or other mark on barrel.

It does have the number "8612" stamped couple of places and has number"12" stamped on other parts.
Any help with year made, value for insurance, etc would be appreciated..Thanks Pat
