Default Mauser 1934 Mystery

I have recently acquired a very nice Mauser Model 1934 pistol. It is a commercial piece, I believe, as it has no waffenamts or other government markings,

The gun has only a 3-digit serial number and this number is not in th e usual location on the slide recess where every other Mauser'34 I have seen, does. These numbers are on the frame and underside of the sideplate.

Additionally, I have never seen a 1934 with only a three-digit serial number. I have done research on these guns and have found no answers

I don't have enough knowledge of the Mauser 1910/14/34 series of pistols to know what I'm looking at. Can any of you Mauser scholars out there give me some insight?
