Default The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946 by Don Hallock, Joop van de Kant

I just received the Luger book The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946 by Don Hallock, Joop van de Kant. All I could saw is wow. Found pretty much what I wanted to learn about my 1940 42 Luger and I'm still finding more information about it. I have other books including Jan Still's book on the Nazi Lugers and this is the book with the most information by far. It not easy to find but well worth the wait. I was lucky to get a first edition # 887 for $300.

It's an outstanding book that I use frequently, a "must have" in the collectors bookcase. The Still books are as well. The information is a life's work from the authors.

What is the difference between a first edition and any other one?
How do you know if it is a first edition?
