Default History Channel WW II guns

"The Guns of World War II" started tonight on the History Channel and continues the rest of this week. What I saw tonight was a rehash of "Tales of the Gun" though.

Default Re: History Channel WW II guns

Its unfortunate but I havent seen any new Tales of the Gun episodes come out. All I have seen for quite some time now are reruns on top of reruns. I hope some new stuff gets put together soon. There has to be more gun series that could be done. Or focus on a certain historical firearm and the history surrounding it. Its too bad someone doesn't have the pistol that Hitler shot himself with. There would be a story in and of itself. I don't even know if it is known for sure what he used. Have heard everything from a Walther to a Luger to a Mauser and anything in between. Even the Bunker survivors give incomplete accounts of the pistol, usually referring to it as a "revolver" or "pistol". I imagine some Russian got it from the bunker or one of the bunker escapees at some point. Gone forever probably.
