Default Lugers in Metro DC Area

Have noticed a few postings in the Forum infering residence in or near the Greater Metropolitan District of Columbia.

Who lives (or works) within pistolshot range of Alexandria Virginia?

Lets hear it from you all!

Maybe a "Gathering of the Tribe"?

Meeting for a "Show and Tell/shoot/swap/beer"?

At the NRA HQ maybe?

What does the group think?

Not only that.

We have a date @ Gilberts and then "Five Guys" next Wednesday.

(All in good taste of course)

Until recently I had ALL my guns stored in Alexandria, but I managed to sneak them out under cover of darkness through the kind services of Bob Lennox of Lennox Arms in Alexandria.

I have good friends who live there (not shooters) who were storing my guns for me. Next time I'm there, I'll give you a shout.

I plead guilty. I live in Western Fairfax and made a LONG 25 mile commute into the District every weekday. I do most of my shooting at the NRA HQ range and live only a couple of miles from the Blue Ridge Arsenal range. I'm up for a meet at either place or I suppose I could find my way to Gilbert's range.

If you think Roger's Commute is long, I live in Winchester and commute to Tyson's Corner daily (57 miles). Been doing this for almost two years, but it has left me little time to do any shooting. Would love to "do lunch" with you, Ad, and Roger...

Default Roger and Angst

Hey, there ARE a bunch of us out here. Renaissance and I have planned to meet at Gilbert's Wednesday at 3:30. We're retired and the range is pretty free then. Roger and Angst, please come if you can. If not, e-mail Renaissance to set up a convenient place and time; either for lunch or a shoot. He can fill me in. As I said, I'm retired; so I can be any place at any time. I look forward to it.

Unfortunately I am still a wage slave. But I do take an occasional mental health day. Usually on Mondays - the only weekday that the NRA range is open all day. I am planning my next therpy session for Monday, July 23. Maybe if we arrange this for 11 - 1 o'clock, we could get John to join us for an "Executive" lunch hour. Failing Mondays, I find that the NRA range is pretty open early Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. By the way, the NRA Range will be closed all of August for repairs.

Roger, Monday, July 23 at the NRA range souds great. I'll be there NLT 11:00am. I'll sure Phil/renaissance will contact you either here on the forum or by-email; but I will remind him of that date when I see him at Gilbert's this Wednesday. John Sabato told me that family business will make him unavailable for a couple of weeks; but he asked to be kept informed of our plans. BTW: Can I buy 9mm ammo at NRA; or should I bring some with me? Ad.
