Question Holster ID

I have come across a holster with a code stamped on the back E.K.S.t. The last code stamp on the right I'm not sure what it is. It is stamped 1938 and has a eagle over a swastika with WaA101 under the swastika. The holster is not stamped P08 and has a loading tool pouch under the flap.

It is my understanding the three letter codes did not start until mid 1940. If this is a fact, can anyone tell me what these letters mean or if this is an authentic 1938 holster? Thanks, Gary

Gary,
* From J. Walter's The Luger Book; Entry E27, Pg. 104: "E.K.S.t. = On PT.08; used by Ehrhardt & Kirsten, Taucha-Leipzig; prior to 1940-1".
* Became code "bdq" in Feb., 1941 per Walter's entry B16.
* WaA101 is a recognized Waffen Inspector's Acceptance stamp for Ehrhardt & Kirsten 1934-1941.
* All appears correct for a 1938 dated PT.08 so far. Wouldn't expect a "P.08" marking as this did not start appearing until 1940 when the P.38 pistol/tausch became a more common issued item.
* I'm sure Gene Bender has also got an "E.K.S.t." entry; but my copy is not readily available right now.
Respectfully,
Bob
