Default Turkish Police Emniyet İşleri Umum Müdürlüğü from Turkey

I wrote a story about it. Unfortunately the forum logged me out and every thing I wrote was gone.

As less time I had, I can not upload the photos to Luger Forum.

It is badly blued and was a challenge for us to disassemble it.

I took the photos with a iPhone4, sorry for the quality.

I think someone threw this Luger to a blueing pot and it got a thick paint, however the markings and inscriptions were kept clearly visible (interestingly).

TC stands for Türkiye Cumhuriyeti (Turkish Republic)

Emniyet İşleri Umum Müdürlüğü (old language) stands for Police Headquarters or something similar. I would translate it as Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü to modern Turkish.

When I have time I will write more about this pistol.

I am looking for Turkish Lugers:

1- Emniyet İşleri Umum Müdürlüğü
2- TC Subaylara Mahsustur
3- Hava Ordusuna Mahhsustur

If you hear or see one of them I would be glad if you can inform me.

My e-mail address: e.aydin@evrenay.com.tr

I am also after a myth. A Luger with Sultan II. Abdülhamid Han's Stamp. Just like Browning 1903, Mauser G98 and rare C96 Mauser.
As he was the emperor till 1909 (actually between 1876-1909), the guns carriying his stamp should be made between these dates.

His Stamp:
or this one:

Welcome to this forum evrenay. I guess you figured out how to post pictures. I'm sure the experts will chime in soon.

A triple view of a mid 1930's Mauser banner Turkish Police luger tragically reduced to shooter status by heavy buffing and re-blueing! About 1000 of these were sent to Turkey in the pre-WW2 period but no one knows for certain how many were built as August Weiss, when questioned near the end of his life, couldn't even recall ANY Turkish contract lugers! Geoff Sturgess has much to say and show about the Turkish contract pistol in Pistole Parabellum, page 623ff. Makes for good reading. We eagerly await further information on this luger.

Yes, that's a common problem on this Forum and has been discussed before, but there seems to be no setting or 'fix' for it.

Best to do your writeups in Notepad and then start a thread or post and copy the text in and post it quickly.

Attachments are another annoyance. I can only get three pics attached & uploaded to a post before being 'timed out'.

Broadband users may have better luck.
