'Steemed and pressed Tac,
Perhaps your use of the descriptive adjective "nearly" is truely no longer appropriate?

Tac, Indeed your definition of old is a lot older then ours, but then our definition of far is a lot farther than yours :-)

Let's see, Tac, what is an antique in Alabama....
Ok. A dog over twelve years old, a pickup truck over twenty, a shotgun that belonged to your grandfather, last year's plastic lawn furniture, records that you listened to in high school, a five year old weed eater, a three year old push mower, a zebco 202, cane fishing poles, the old guy who spends all day sitting in front of the store, and my 18hp Farmall Cub. How's that? rk |

Cute dialog but what were you wanting to discuss about this interesting holster RK?
Pistol antique holster revolver Walter this holster is in to the old accordingly good state see photo, you are stamped with a number 0440-12-123-6169 the next line TA.Fpist.38. Kal.9mm (W) the next line fa? I cannot read rest, unfortunately, because of seam inside to the pocket Standing 3/12 the next line 00131 next lines a stamp his contents not farther wants to explain .Die pocket might come from the time between 1932 and 1945 probably, however, rather from the 30iger years, they might probably come from the time of the 2WK it becomes no pistol such has also not offered useless ask for see PhotoEbay pay I dispatch at the rate of 4.50 Euros, they offer which for second-hand goods of the exchange are excluded with ask, please Mail request the dispatch fees follow no pure postage is they enclose adhesive tape parcels and transport etc., at all costs follow before him these offer with include if s simply does not fit not

"0440-12-123-6169" is a "Versorgungsnummer" (like an NSN in the U.S.) of the German Bundeswehr, so this would date the holster past WWII.
"TA.Fpist.38." should be for "Tasche fuer Pistole 38 (P38). Juergen |

I thought about you today, Tac, took out a 1944 MKIV and fifty rounds of 1960ish Pakistani ammo. The third time it knocked my glasses off I figured out that I'd best hold on and dig in like a tick on my ugly dog, learned to keep my nose off my thumb on the stock too, almost got respectable groups at 100yds, couldn't keep it up cause of flinching, kinda hard to relax, let out half a breath, steady pull, and get hit in the shoulder by a mean tempered mule. Muzzle blast was so bad the leaves blew off the trees in front up to 20yds. I cannot imagine being hit by something like that.
