Default Luger going on market

I have a 9 MM Luger that has all matching parts. Stamped on top is 1936 and S/42. On the side and bottom of barrel is stamped 3149 It is in working condition and has clip. I would like to know what price to ask for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

You said the parts are all matching. Does that include the magazine too? Depending on this and the condition, you may be able to get around 1k for it.

Thanks for the reply. No, the magazine has a different number on it. All the other parts match. Would it be better to sell it online or go to a gun shop or gun show?

Always on-line. They will give you about 40-60% of what it is worth at most gun shows or gun shops....

What is the story on this?

You say online. Where do I list it ? I am a little concerned that it will fall into the wrong hands. I would like to see a collector get it. I am located in Fl. The gun was my father in-laws and I have owned it for almost 35 years since he passed away. Any help you give me would me great. I also have an old 45 that was my fathers. I want to get rid of all my guns so my wife does not have to deal with them when I am gone.

Thanks,
Bob

An old .45? Now you have even more of us interested. Can you post a few pics?

Bob,

You might be able to sell them right here and get a good price if you can post some pictures. The majority of us have other gun collecting interests in addition to Lugers! I am not the only one that would be interested in any "old Colts" that you have!

I did not know I could ask for info on other guns on this forum. The 45 has the number 434279 stamped on one side. The other side says, Patented Apr. 20,1897. Sept.9,1902 Dec. 19 1905 Feb 14. 1911 Aug,19,1913. It has 2 clips and seems to be in working order. I have never fired it. If someone could give me a listing price for the luger and the 45 it sure would help. I know it is hard to do without seeing the weapons. You can email me at rusty00013@bellsouth.net

Please put weapon on the subject line so I don't delete your mail as junk mail. Thanks
Bob

Jamese strikes again. Be honest now.You just want to drool on them first.
seriously He will give you an honest opinion on condition and price. He may also help you sell them to a collector around here.

Bob, Jamese is a great guy. I've put a lot of trust in him selling some of my guns (I'm getting up there in age also). He loves Lugers if you can't tell.

Thanks for the comments,

Your right I'll drool over them and then I'll try to see that one of our fellow collectors get the guns at a fair price to both parties.

I'm going to try and get with him tonight and I'll let you know

Jim

Default listing soon

I spoke with Jim (Jamese) tonight and will meet with him on Friday. He said he will help with the sale and i'm sure he can give a better description of the Luger than I can. I will also show him the 45. They will be listed soon so you guys can take a look...........
