Post An Illegal Luger carbine auction-Be warned

This is a warning to the uninitiated that a "Luger Carbine" is being auctioned on Gunbroker that falls into the category of a short barreled rifle and possession of this gun in this configuration is a violation of federal law.

This "carbine" was made up by a gunsmith sometime in the 1950's according to the seller...

For this reason, it would not be listed on the Curio & Relic list by the ATF as exempt from the National Firearms Act of 1934.

I have emailed the seller to advise him that the possession of this gun with the shoulder stock is a felony, but he has not heeded the warning and the gun is still publicly displayed on the auction. I do not recognize the names of the 3 persons bidding on it, but in the event that they are members of the forum, I felt it prudent to post a warning here.
